Margaretha from Hesse
In 1873 he married Margaretha Ort from Frohnhausen near Gladenbach. Their marriage exemplifies the growing migration into the industrial Ruhr region.
An early death—and a new chapter
Heinrich Wilhelm died in 1878, only thirty years old, from burns sustained in a mining accident in Königssteele. Margaretha outlived him by many decades and later married Hermann Schocke, beginning a new chapter for her and the family.
